Latir Grey-Johnson

I am currently a Master of Arts History student at the University of Sussex. I loved history in school and it was by far my favourite subject. I enjoyed particularly learning about the Cold War era as a lot happened within that period. However, I enjoyed all history topics I covered throughout school.

I enjoyed writing essays and working with lots of different sources. Primary sources are my favourite as you get a 'real' feel of the material of that point in time. History has allowed me to become a critical thinker. I have become a lot stronger in not only questioning the past but also the world we all live in today.

I am very open-minded and patient. I enjoy breaking down things in its purest form rather than generalising or rushing into work. History is a subject in which every event needs to explained thoroughly.

My lessons look like this:

1. Any concerns you have on a topic, feel free to tell me first.
2. We work through the issue together.
3. I will give a brief historical background to the topic.
4. Potential exam questions on the topic raised.
5. A brief overview of next week's work.

My lessons should be between 30-45 minutes.

I can use google slides/powerpoint to help explain anything further if need be.

In addition, I will also be providing advice on study tips and methods for any upcoming test or examinations.

NB! Please feel free to ask as many questions as you can! It only makes the learning process a lot easier.
