What My Lessons Are Like:

My sessions are structured, engaging, and designed to turn syllabus content into exam success. I reject passive, one-way lectures; instead, my lessons are collaborative workshops built around critical discussion and skill application.

The Lesson Format:

The Quick Recall Task: We open with a targeted retrieval activity on the digital whiteboard. This reactivates prior knowledge, reinforces historical timelines, and tracks your ongoing retention.

Component Objectives: We establish a clear focus for the session. You will always know exactly what skill we are mastering—whether it is breaking down an 8-mark source utility question or structuring an independent research paper.

Active Source Analysis & Debate (Main Lesson): We examine real exam prompts, source texts, or coursework criteria together on screen. I heavily encourage academic debate; challenging perspectives out loud is the fastest way to build subject confidence. Using practical frameworks like REBLA, we deconstruct mark schemes and build high-scoring essay arguments in real time.

Plenary: We always conclude with a recap activity summarizing the lessons findings

My Experience: I am a fully qualified British Humanities Teacher and former Head of Year with 6 years of experience across the UK and international school sectors. I specialize in the Pearson Edexcel History (Cold War, Germany, Russia, and Medicine) and Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives specifications. I also have experience teaching AQA.

My goal is to make complex topics accessible, provide explicit essay skill, and create an environment where you can ask questions freely and drive real grade improvement.
