Bernard Peter Rawlins

Bernard has helped my daughter tremendously with her GCSE History. She received a 3 in her mock and, despite her efforts, wasn’t improving as we approached GCSE season. Although we started with Bernard quite late, his support made an incredible difference. He literally helped turn things around, and she went on to achieve a fantastic **7 in her final GCSE**. I am writing with great pleasure to recommend Mr. Bernard Peter Rawlins for an online tutorial position in World History. My name is Jiang Anni, a senior student at the International Department of Yangzhou High School, and I have had the privilege of being Mr. Rawlins’s student on two separate occasions. My first encounter with Mr. Rawlins’s teaching was even before I officially entered high school, during a summer trial course in Yangzhou High School.During that time, my English was not good enough to fully understand the knowledge of world history. Yet in my impression,Mr.Rawlins was really serious in teaching and has played a positive role in my learning of English indirectly. My second, and more profound, experience was during my second year of high school, when he taught me Pre-World History and provided invaluable guidance for my AP World History studies. I'm a student of Mr. Rawlins from 2016-2018 at an international high school program in China. I took the Pre-World History lessons taught by Mr. Rawlins and got a level 5 result for AP World History. The historical concepts taught by Mr. Rawlins are always clear and well-organized. My favorite aspect of Mr. Rawlins's lessons is that he always encouraged a critical thinking process to analyze historical concepts instead of directly presenting historical events. This critical thinking process that I gained from Mr. Rawlins's lessons has helped me analyze concepts beyond world history. It has helped me challenge the existing concept and develop novel systems during my PhD study. I highly recommend taking Mr. Rawlins's class.
