Advert description
I believe effective tutoring should be individualised, encouraging and responsive to each learner. Every pupil learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to their strengths, areas for development, confidence and preferred ways of learning. I use a range of strategies, including modelling, questioning, worked examples, visual resources, discussion, repetition, guided practice and retrieval activities, selecting approaches that best suit the individual learner and the concept being taught. I can break challenging learning into manageable steps, provide additional support where needed and gradually encourage pupils to become more independent.
In English, I aim to develop both academic skills and confidence, supporting learners with reading, writing, spelling, grammar, vocabulary and communication. I believe recognising strengths is just as important as addressing areas for development, as celebrating progress can motivate learners and build self-belief. My goal is for every pupil to make meaningful progress while becoming a more confident, independent learner.
