Advert description
I'm a certified 250 hour Yoga Alliance teacher with a Yoga for Cancer Recovery specialisation. I'm also a forever-student of traditional ashtanga yoga with an established daily practice.
I spent over 15 years in the corporate world before being diagnosed with Graves' Disease, an autoimmune condition. I reassessed how I was living: reducing stress by stepping away from the corporate desk to study yoga, changed my diet, and moved closer to nature. Those changes had a profound impact on my wellbeing and ultimately allowed me to return to London feeling healthier and more resilient.
I trained in India for my 200-hour certification, which was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I returned to Morjim, India, to study with Sharmila Desai, certified ashtanga yoga teacher, over three seasons. I completed a 50-hour Yoga for Cancer Recovery course, which deepened my approach to teaching. I continue to expand my knowledge, both in theory and practice. I maintain a daily asana practice and am currently completing an extensive experiential anatomy course.
One of my favourite things about working with individuals is the chance to personalise and tailor the programme framework as per the person's needs. Depending on your goals, the tools of yoga can benefit you in different ways.
These tools can help professional athletes improve their performance, both physically and mentally; support everyday people on a journey towards a healthier lifestyle; or be tailored to your individual needs. Yoga can complement goals such as weight management, stress, anxiety and low mood management, recovery from burnout or overwhelm, healthy ageing, and provide a supportive complementary practice alongside medical care for people living with conditions such as cancer or other long-term physical or mental health conditions.
We'll begin with a complimentary consultation to discuss your goals and make sure we're a good fit. From there, we'll work in blocks of five sessions, each supported with personalised notes and a practice designed specifically for you. Sessions typically last between 40 and 75 minutes. Whether you're a complete beginner or returning to yoga after a break, we'll work at a pace that feels both supportive and appropriately challenging. You do not need previous experience, you do not need to be flexible either... You are looking to learn, after all!
