We will start with a consultation call where we discuss your goals, needs and concerns - and how that fits into the framework of yoga. It will create a platform for questions, agree on the regularity of your sessions and if you're happy, book in our regular classes. We'll also go through a health questionnaire so that I can be fully aware of any thing that might influence our work together. If you'd like, we can also add a 15-20mins taster session at the end :)
I usually recommend working in blocks of five sessions - naturally, this can be different, depending on your preferences. If possible, we'll meet in-person - if easier, we meet over Zoom. We can also combine in-person and online sessions, if that works for you best!
Depending where you are on your yoga journey, we will develop or revisit the mind-body connection through breathing and mindful movement. I'll share pdf handouts with you as we tweak our understanding of the classes - this way you can review and revisit your classes independently any time. Hopefully this will give you encouragement and you'll feel empowered to get on your mat between sessions also :)
I have worked with beginners extensively over the years and I really enjoy introducing people to yoga. I had the opportunity to work with someone privately who was returning to ashtanga yoga after two children. Private tutoring helps you build confidence, creates a lot of space for questions, allows the class to be truly tailored for you and help you get the most from your practice.
My aim is to create a supportive, non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable learning at your own pace while still being gently challenged to grow.
