GCSE History Tutor | Experienced Teacher & GCSE Examiner

I am an experienced History teacher and GCSE History examiner, specialising in exam preparation and helping students improve their confidence, knowledge and exam performance.

My examiner experience gives me a strong understanding of how GCSE History answers are assessed, where students commonly lose marks, and what distinguishes a good response from a high-level one. I use this insight to help students understand not only what they need to know, but how to turn that knowledge into marks in the exam.

I offer personalised lessons tailored to each student's exam board, topics, current level and target grade. I am familiar with Edexcel and AQA specifications and can support students across a range of popular topics, including Migration, Medicine Through Time, Elizabethan England, Weimar and Nazi Germany, the Cold War, Crime and Punishment, and Conflict in Asia/Vietnam.

My approach is structured, supportive and highly exam-focused. I don't encourage students simply to memorise model answers. Instead, I teach them how to think historically, recognise what the examiner is looking for, and construct strong answers independently under exam conditions.
