I am a fully qualified, passionate History teacher with over 11 years of experience teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level students.

My lessons are active, engaging and tailored to the individual. I use discussion, debate and historical enquiry to help students explore ideas rather than simply memorise information. Lessons often begin with an intriguing source, image or question to spark curiosity, followed by recall activities to strengthen key knowledge.

Depending on the student’s needs, sessions can include source analysis, essay planning, exam-question practice and personalised resources. For GCSE and A-Level students, I place particular emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand exactly what questions are asking and how to meet assessment expectations with confidence.

I am patient, encouraging and enthusiastic, and I believe that with the right attitude, support and direction, every student can make meaningful progress. My aim is to build both a strong understanding of History and the confidence students need to express their ideas and succeed in assessments.
