Hello! I'm a friendly, patient and enthusiastic English and History tutor with a genuine passion for helping young people develop their confidence, improve their academic skills and achieve their full potential.

I hold a First-Class Honours degree in History and Politics, a Master's degree in Modern History and an A-Level in English Literature. I also achieved two A grades in GCSE English Language and Literature and have one year's experience as a private GCSE English tutor.

I offer personalised English and History tuition for secondary school students, including those preparing for their GCSE examinations. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual abilities, learning needs and academic goals.

For English, I focus on improving reading comprehension, literacy, creative writing, essay structure, literary analysis and examination techniques. For History, I help students develop their understanding of historical events, source analysis, critical thinking and the ability to construct clear, well-supported arguments.

My lessons are interactive and supportive, combining clear explanations, guided practice, exam-style questions and constructive feedback. I aim to break down challenging topics into manageable steps and adapt the pace of lessons to suit each student.

I am particularly passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Having received SENCO support myself during my education, I understand first-hand the importance of patience, encouragement and adapting teaching methods to different learning needs.

During my own schooling, I attended additional reading classes before achieving a reading age of 16 at just 12 years old. This experience has shaped my belief that academic difficulties should never limit a student's potential.

Above all, I aim to create a calm, welcoming and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence.

Whether your child needs additional support, wants to improve their grades or is aiming for the highest GCSE results, I would love to help them succeed!
