He helped me understand and memorise course material, as well as supervised my academic work. As a tutor, I found him to be very patient, well spoken and positive -- exactly what I needed to complete my degree.
During my postgraduate studies, it came in handy that he's got a background in research since he could help me find innovative ways of accessing data, sources and archives. I don't think I'd have graduated without him!
I recommend him as a tutor for both younger and older students. They'd be lucky to learn from somebody this knowledgable in all areas -- his curiosity and well rounded, holistic approach never seized to amaze me!
