GCSE History tutoring with an experienced teacher and Vice Principal for Key Stage 3 & 4 students

Hello, and welcome! I’m Shazia, a History teacher and school leader with more than eight years of experience helping students learn. I hold an M.A. and B.A. in History, a B.Ed., and a Cambridge IGCSE qualification in History, and I currently work as a Vice Principal. I know that GCSE History can feel like a lot: dates, sources, causes and consequences, and essays that have to be well argued. My job is to make it clearer and less stressful. How I work In our first session, we’ll find out where you are now, what you already do well, and where you get stuck. Together we’ll build a simple plan with small, achievable steps, and we’ll check your progress as we go. I’ll teach you how to structure answers, use sources, and revise in ways that actually stick. I’ll explain things in plain language, and you can ask me anything, even if you think it’s a silly question. What you can expect from me Patience, honesty and encouragement. Clear feedback on your work, so you know what to improve. Revision guides and practice questions that suit you. Sessions that are friendly and focused, because mistakes are just part of learning.
