I’m a qualified Maths teacher with a PGCE and several years of experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths, including GCSE Foundation and Higher. I have experience supporting students with different abilities, building confidence and helping students overcome gaps in their understanding. How I teach I keep lessons friendly, clear and focused on the student’s individual needs. I first identify what they find difficult, then break topics down into simple steps and explain them in a way they can understand. I use examples, questioning and plenty of practice to check their understanding, while encouraging students to explain their thinking and become more confident and independent.
