Each session follows a clear format so students always know what they’re working towards. We begin by reviewing previous content and identifying any gaps or areas of confusion. I then explain new topics step-by-step in a clear, logical way, breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable concepts. Lessons are interactive throughout, with regular questions to check understanding rather than passive listening.
A key focus of my teaching is exam technique and confidence, not just content. I use exam-style questions, past paper practice, and mark schemes to show students exactly how to pick up marks and avoid common mistakes. Homework, where appropriate, is purposeful and targeted — never overwhelming — and is always reviewed in the next session.
I adapt my teaching style to suit each student. Some students benefit from visual explanations and diagrams, others from worked examples or verbal explanations. Lessons are paced to the student’s ability, ensuring they feel challenged but never lost.
I have extensive experience tutoring students across a wide range of abilities, from those aiming to pass and build confidence to high-achieving students targeting top grades. As a medical student, I bring strong subject knowledge, excellent organisation, and a clear understanding of how to learn effectively.
