University Graduate Aiming to Tutor for Secondary Students Approaching Exams

I have an Undergraduate Degree in History from the University of St Andrews. Having graduated in December 2025. I specialised in the Medieval period of Europe (particularly regarding medicine and plagues), but have experience in broad historical concepts (including ancient, modern, and the development of the Just War philosophy).

I performed at the top of my classes for History and Classical Studies during my secondary school years as well, so I am familiar with the expectations and requirements at the National 5 - Advanced Higher levels. Additionally, I was the top scoring student in Art & Design art exams (written testing), which is another area I feel capable of guiding in.

Having had an art piece displayed in the Wardlaw Museum as an exhibit artist, I am capable of providing advice and feedback on the practical side of Art & Design.

Lessons would function as such:
- Establish what are the problem areas for the student first.
- Seek to provide surrounding information to better flesh out the student's understanding of the topic (particularly information that is often under explained during classes).
- Provide homework outside of recommending past papers, instead focusing on reinforcing the fundamentals of question types, rather than the regurgitation of information. Thus building student's confidence in the work, not just the facts.
