I will teach by making maths clear, practical and learner-centred. I will first assess each learner’s current level, then plan lessons with clear objectives and simple step-by-step explanations. I will use examples linked to real life, work and vocational subjects so learners can see the purpose of maths. During lessons, I will use questioning, demonstrations, guided practice and independent tasks to check understanding. I will support learners who need extra help and provide challenge for those who progress quickly. I will also give regular feedback so learners know what they have done well and what they need to improve.
