Hi, I'm Benji! I offer Maths tutoring to GCSE and A-Level students that focusses on guaranteeing progress and delivering promising results.

GCSEs: 8x 9s, 9s in Mathematics and Further Mathematics

Here's a quick rundown of my teaching style:

A typical online session will involve me mirroring my screen to show a whiteboard that I annotate with an e-pencil. On this whiteboard I can add any content snippets that will supplement my explanations, and I can write out Maths using the e-pencil. Of course, I am flexible to alternative arrangements: if the student also has an e-pencil then I will share them my online whiteboard so they can write on it, too!

After explaining a concept, I will typically give a few specific questions to ensure the student understands what I've taught. The student can either read their answer out to me, or send me a picture of their workings. If they don't get it, that's fine; the student sets the pace of the session! I will take a step back and dive deeper into the basics and set easier questions to start with.

At your request, I will set and mark out-of-session work for free. Practice is the best and only way to improve your grade in Maths, so I will strongly encourage the student to commit to out-of-session practice, as it builds their exam/problem-solving skills and consolidates the theory we have covered.

For in-person sessions, I can use paper and I will provide the teaching materials if you don't have them!
