Hi, I’m Tanya — an enthusiastic, friendly, and patient tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience. I hold a BSc in Chemistry and Biology and I am a fully qualified teacher (QTS). I have strong experience supporting students with special educational needs, as well as hands-on laboratory experience, which helps me explain scientific concepts clearly and confidently.
I’m happy to support learners who need help with Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, or the Russian language. My lessons are fully tailored to each student’s needs. I quickly identify knowledge gaps and guide students step by step until they feel secure and confident. My approach is calm, structured, and supportive — I demonstrate how to solve a problem, then help you practise it until it becomes familiar and manageable.
To keep lessons engaging and effective, I use a mix of high-quality resources: student books, workbooks, tests, past exam papers, and an interactive whiteboard. I can also set personalised homework and provide detailed, constructive feedback to help you make steady progress.
I have experience with ISEB 13+, AQA, Edexcel GCSE, and Edexcel IGCSE exam boards, and I offer targeted preparation for school assessments and GCSE exams. Many of my students have improved their grades and gained confidence in their subjects — and I’d be delighted to help you achieve the same.
