I understand that working from a textbook is to be frank, boring. Therefore, as a visual learner myself, I aim to ensure a variety of learning methods. You could be having a discussion with me over a presentation on the Tudors, reviewing the content covered through a quiz and the RAG method to target areas of weakness for revision. Or perhaps, you have an essay that you can't quite get the grade you need on, so we review each paragraphs structure, evidence, analysis and the marks you would score for AO1/2/3. Ahead of every lesson, I will always check in and ask what content you would like to cover alongside any preferences for format, reasonable adjustments or topics you need particularly detailed guidance on.
In my experience, the best lessons are the ones that engage the student. I can assure you, my lessons won't be a dreary lecture- a lesson is a two way conversation, and I encourage you to ask as many as you like!
