My approach to tutoring is centred around patience, encouragement, and adaptability. I believe every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand their individual strengths, challenges, and goals before tailoring lessons to suit them.

I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their ideas. I encourage students to think critically rather than simply memorising information, helping them build the skills they need to approach unfamiliar topics and questions with confidence.

In my eyes, History is a fantastic subject that allows so much room to explore different viewpoints and the impact that people and actions can have on us today. Additionally, it so easily touches on other subjects like Geography and Literature, meaning that a History lesson can easily lead to greater understanding in other lessons in the future.

Having experience across different educational settings and cultures, I bring an open-minded and flexible approach to teaching. I am approachable, reliable, and genuinely invested in my students’ progress. Whether a student needs extra support with the basics or wants to push themselves further, I am happy to adapt my teaching style and pace to help them get the most out of each lesson. Above all, I want to foster passion for the subject that hopefully leads to long-term excellence in whatever you decide to do.

Ultimately, I want my students to leave lessons not only with a stronger understanding of History, but also with greater confidence in their own abilities.
