My lessons are friendly, structured and tailored to each student. I start by finding out what the student already understands, where they are struggling and what they want to achieve, so we can use our time effectively.

I don’t believe in simply talking at students or asking them to memorise information. I break difficult topics down into clear, manageable steps, check their understanding throughout and give them plenty of opportunities to apply what they have learned.

Depending on the student’s needs, lessons may include explaining challenging topics, working through exam-style questions, practising past-paper questions, improving exam technique, reviewing mistakes and building effective revision strategies.

I have around 3 years of tutoring experience and have taught approximately 30–40 GCSE and A-level students, with students going on to achieve A*s, As and other high grades.

I also understand that confidence can make a huge difference to a student’s performance. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and saying when they don’t understand something. By the end of a lesson, I want them to feel that the topic is clearer, more manageable and that they know exactly what to work on next.

I’m happy to adapt the pace and style of lessons as we go, and I always focus on making sure the student is genuinely progressing rather than simply getting through content. Whether they need support catching up, maintaining their grades or pushing towards the very highest marks, I’ll work with them to set clear goals and build their confidence along the way.
