Hi I’m Rachana, a second year medical student who achieved all 9s at GCSE and A*A*A*A at A-Levels in Chemistry, Biology, CS and Maths

Having studied Maths and Chemistry at A Level and now using them every day throughout medical school, I have a strong understanding of the subjects. I know that science subjects can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when there’s so much content to remember but through my own experience, I’ve developed effective revision techniques and ways to simplify difficult topics,. I hope to not just to help students understand the content but to also help them feel more confident and prepared for their exams. Each session will be tailored to the students needs with topics they struggle with. As well questions or help outside of class are encouraged so don't feel afraid to reach out! Having been a student myself, I understand how quickly the cost of tutoring can add up and I want to make my tutoring accessible to as many students as possible, which is why I charge just £10 per hour :)


I have a wide range of previous tutoring experience, working with students of different ages, abilities and learning styles. I have tutored Year 10 and 11 students studying GCSE Chemistry, helping them build their understanding of key topics, improve their exam technique and become more confident when approaching challenging questions.


We’ll focus on your chosen topic, practise applying your knowledge through lots of questions to help consolidate and finish with a short recap to check your understanding.

Session format may look like: Going through starters to get a rough understanding of the students level of understanding of the topic, breaking down complex topics with clear explanations and guidance with practice questions, times practice to help consolidate learning. I hope to create a stress-free environment where the student is able to ask as many questions and to boost their confidence at the end of the session. At the end the student would be given few questions to do after the lesson that can be marked and ready to go through during the next session to pick up any weaknesses.
