Paul Gogshelidze

Hello! I am Paul, the postgraduate (MAA) student of International Relations at the University of Exeter. I have tutoring experience from my undergrad, where I was the assistant to the history professor in the Free University of Tbilisi, where my job included almost everything the lecturer does. I had to come up with the topics for the presentation and mark them and do the same with the exam topics and I was responsible for marking them as well. Occasionally I had to give lectures and seminars to the first and second year students in history but sometimes also in economics. The history has been my passion from the childhood and therefore I decided to pursue International Relations, which is very closely bound to history. The focus of our lessons will be tailored individually, based on the age and interests of the students themselves. but whether you are a middle schooler or an adult interested in history, we will cover the core historical periods anyways, with a greater focus on the necessary areas. My personal expertise mostly covers Europe and the Middle East, from ancient times to the modern era. My students will learn how to approach history without being biased by modern standarts, which is very important while trying to understand history. We will cover all the aspects of history, from political and military history to culture, architecture, arts, fashion, religion, food and agriculture. Both the individual as well as the small group sessions will be available to the students of different preferences.
