As an online French tutor, I would structure my lessons to be engaging, supportive, and clearly tailored to students from primary level to GCSE level . Each class would begin with a short warm-up activity, such as a simple conversation, quiz, or recap game, to build confidence and activate prior knowledge. Lessons would then focus on a clear objective, for example developing key vocabulary, mastering a grammar point, or improving speaking and listening skills. I would adapt my teaching style to suit each age group: for primary students, I would use songs, visuals, stories, and interactive activities to make learning fun and accessible, while for GCSE students I would place greater emphasis on exam technique, structured writing, and accurate use of grammar. Throughout each lesson, I would encourage active participation through questioning, role-play, and guided speaking practice, helping students to feel comfortable using French in real contexts. I would also incorporate cultural elements such as French traditions, everyday life, and authentic resources to deepen students’ understanding and maintain motivation. Regular assessment would be embedded through short tasks and feedback, allowing me to monitor progress and adapt future lessons accordingly. Homework, where appropriate, would reinforce learning without overwhelming the student. Above all, I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and confident in developing their French language skills at their own pace, while fostering curiosity, independence, and a genuine enjoyment of language learning beyond the classroom. All this will help my students to reach optimal academic success and unlock the amazing skill of languages.
