About me, my French teaching and how I can help you

I have a French degree, a Masters degree in European Studies and PGCE in secondary French. I have been tutoring and giving private lessons for 5 years now to primary and secondary school children and adults.

I lived for over 20 years in France and Belgium and am a fluent French speaker and keen to pass on knowledge of the French language and culture with you. I can help you make progress for your occasional travel to France, to brush up on rusty school French or to help children at primary and secondary school feel confident using the language, have fun in learning to speak and write a new language and to pass school exams.

Lisa is simply wonderful. She has a calm encouraging way of working with first my year 8 son to top up his french, and then two weeks before my daughter’s oral GCSE to absolutely boost her confidence and make her exam ready. Both of our children really like her and feel she is great. I was particularly struck by my daughter taking time to tell me that it was not only the content that Lisa was able to teach her but it was her way of making my daughter feel looked after and that it was all going to be okay and she should and could feel confident. That was gold dust. Our entire family highly recommend Lisa too you.
