Melissa Aylott

Hi, I'm Melissa and I'm currently in my second year studying Medicine at the University of East Anglia.
For the longest time, I've had a great passion in Biology. I chose to pursue my interest in the subject at A-level where I received an A* grade. I then decided to pursue it further to study Medicine.
At the heart of all of my tutoring sessions is my students. I aim to make every tutoring session tailored to the individual; whether that be an interactive approach with quizzes, games and puzzles, or if they prefer, a more comprehensive, exam focused approach; or even a mix of both. Building a good rapport with my students is something I find is of great importance, so that they feel comfortable letting me know what they're struggling with and we can make the most out of our sessions. Finding out about my students hobbies and asking them questions about their week is a great way of building this connection.
As I only left school a few years ago now, I personally understand the stress that young people are under during their vital exam years and would love to give a helping hand throughout this. I've developed a lot of efficient revision techniques that I would like to share with young people to help them strive towards their academic goals. I've also developed, through personal experience, ways to deal with stress of exams and again would love to share these with students.
Biology really is a fascinating subject, filled with so many interesting topics and I can't wait to meet students and help them achieve academically!
