I have four years of teaching and tutoring experience, working with students of different levels and abilities. Over the last year, I have taught at a local secondary school and sixth form in London , where I developed my classroom teaching skills, supported students in their learning, and helped them build confidence in their academic abilities.

Prior to this, I worked as a private tutor for over two years, providing tailored support to students to help them understand challenging topics, improve their academic performance, and achieve their learning goals. These experiences have strengthened my communication, organisation, and teaching skills, while allowing me to develop a supportive approach to meeting each student's individual needs.

I like to take a structured approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the student’s individual needs and abilities. I identify their current strengths and areas for development and use this to plan lessons with clear objectives and achievable outcomes.

I also regularly use mini assessments and exam-style questions to monitor understanding and identify gaps in my students' knowledge. This means we can adapt future sessions accordingly, ensuring that we spend time where it will have the greatest impact rather than revisiting material the student has already mastered.

Furthermore, I believe students learn most effectively when they are actively involved in the lesson. Rather than relying solely on explanation, I like to use discussion, visual resources, practical examples and interactive activities to make concepts easier to understand and remember. I like to encourage students to explain their thinking and engage with challenging material, creating a supportive environment where mistakes are treated as valuable learning opportunities.

By combining consistent progress monitoring with engaging, personalised teaching, I help students work towards their goals while developing skills they can carry forward into their future studies.
