I have just finished my 1st year at the University of Cambridge studying English, having achieved a first-class grade and ranking 3rd in my cohort of 186. Previously, I studied at Tiffin School and Nonsuch High School for Girls. I aim to make my lessons friendly and approachable, and to put students completely at ease to foster an environment that is conducive to learning. I always begin by getting a sense of what difficulties a pupil may be having so that I can tailor my lessons to your needs, and I understand that every pupil learns in a slightly different way, so if I can adapt to make the learning process an easier one, I always endeavour to do so. I know that the learning process can be a daunting one, but I hope that having gone so recently through the exams process gives me the ability to empathise with my students and put them at ease. Where it helps, I am always happy to share exemplars or how I would approach questions and essay titles as prompts and a way of getting a sense of what examiners and boards may be looking for in a successful candidate response.
