Patient and friendly English student looking to tutor, specialising in 11+ and GCSE English

I have just finished my first year at the University of Cambridge studying English, having achieved a first-class grade and ranking 3rd in my cohort of 186. Previously, I studied at Tiffin School and Nonsuch High School for Girls. I am passionate about the English language and its literature, and feel very qualified to teach both subjects at all levels. Having successfully gained places at three grammar schools by taking five 11+ exams, I am very familiar with the format of these exams and how to be successful in them. I pride myself on my passion for English, and the quality of my written work and clarity of expression were particularly praised at interview during my application for university. How to successfully apply for English at university, specifically Oxbridge, is another area I feel able to coach and advise on. I received a letter of commendation from the director of studies at Queens' College Cambridge for my essay submission to their Estelle Prize competition; hence, I feel confident I can help others (particularly older students at GCSE and A-level) to develop the quality of their written work in a patient and clear way. I have previous experience teaching two primary school-level pupils and look forward to hopefully teaching more in the future.
