I have taught French in schools and universities in the UK and am very familiar with British schooling (GCSE and A Level), and to some extent with the IB. I have also taught French to non-natives and English in France and Austria, and am very comfortable teaching in the FLE style for DELF-DALF exams (I am an accredited examiner). I will vary teaching styles depending on whether you are after specific exam preparation, targeted support of specific difficulties, or organic progress.

I always prioritise opportunities for speaking the language in each session, but also reinforce language progress with technical explanation and practice, and more prolonged exposure to the language.

It is really important in learning a language that you feel comfortable and confident, and a priority for me is to help you see what you can do and do a maximum with the language you have at your disposal. Learning a language should be a real pleasure where you feel in control, and I will try to help you to learn in this way.
