Isabel Kane

Hi! I’m Isabel, a History student at UCL and I would love to help you improve your history skills as well as helping you enjoy your studies!

My priority is to help you feel more comfortable to tackle your exams and improve your academic writing. As such, I tailor my plans to your needs in order to address your concerns and boost your confidence.

I offer bi-weekly lessons in which we can go over your written answers, feedback or any past paper questions. I can also create example answers which will help show you the ideal structure which you should be aiming for. More importantly, these sessions will allow you to see in great detail which steps you should take to improve your work, and to show it is possible!

On top of this, if you wish, I can make myself available outside of our remote lessons to offer feedback on work or help with any questions that arise throughout the week. According to my past students, has been especially useful for coursework.

Near exam season, I also offer revision sessions where we can focus on specific topics.

I aim to create a friendly environment where we can discuss your feelings about upcoming exams as well as our sessions freely. I am a perfectionist myself so I completely understand the stress of GCSEs and A-levels. It is important to me that I can help you limit any negative feelings so that you can find a love for History if you haven’t already!
