Hello,
I have been a teacher and home tutor for more than 2 years. I am a mother who is still teaching my children at home. I have been learning and using different teaching methodologies to help children attain success. Usually my teaching method differs, depending upon the age or sometimes the grade they are studying. I am fun loving person at the same time, I make sure who ever learns from me reach their ultimate goal "success".
For example I use a method called KWL chart "KNOW, WANT TO KNOW, LEARNED" . I give this printout to my students before start of every week for subjects they want to learn. At the end of each week we take time to discuss the chart and decide where we both have to work on.
I always encourage my students to read lots of book online like using digital reading platform EPIC, Read theory etc. Sometimes I have used game based learning like kahoot.I also use PowerPoint presentations, YOU TUBE videos to motive students, teach lessons and make it more the end of each lesson I give assignment to check how they through with the subject, later discuss with them and their parents about their performances. I was always involved in grade specific levels of teaching and their varying knowledge, making them work on feedbacks, correcting student’s exam papers, classwork, homework, practical notebooks, conducting quiz, group discussions, class project, keeping a record of everything. Teaching through experiments, drawing on board and making charts for a particular topic were few method I followed when I was working at school.
