I have been teaching UK secondary school English for many years, both in class and online. Now, I concentrate on online teaching via zoom. Why am I so successful a teacher? Because I listen to my students and I create a bespoke learning package for each and every one of them. Lessons focus on how I can make YOU a better learner, how I can instil confidence in YOU. The key to being a successful English secondary school student is good comprehension and good composition. Words words and more words. The understanding of how writers write, knowing how to give the GCSE examiner what he wants. Learning plans: will involve pre lesson homework or preparation; in lesson discussion; a range of comprehension & or writing guidance; editing, advising & grading of writing.

I am so grateful to David for helping my son pass his GCSE English. When he started, he lacked confidence and was struggling to pass mock exams. My son has been learning with David for a year and has made great progress in English. As English is not our first language, he used to struggle with speaking, writing and grammar.
