I tailor lessons to the needs of my students, whether that be interactive and engaging content refreshers or coverage, with emphasis on the potential applications of this knowledge in exam contexts. My lessons enable students to think how they can approach any historical context and sources with a critical eye practicing working with a range of materials and coaching students through the thought processes needed to extract the information you need.
For students who are struggling with how to articulate their understanding I can tailor lessons to how to convert your fantastic knowledge into a fantastic response in an exam context! I do this by going through common and effective writing techniques and showing you how examiners like responses to be formatted to secure the most marks possible. I can give deep dives on certain styles of exam questions and what to do and what to avoid with the limited time you have available.
For those who are further away from taking exams or looking for a broader understanding of history as a subject, I am happy to create lessons and activities to learn about new topics and supplement your in-school tuition to ensure you have confidence in your knowledge of the past.
