From my experience doing GCSE History, structure is the most important part of achieving good grades. Making sure you have all points in the examiners mark scheme is easily completed by following a formula for success. Content knowledge is also crucial if you want to achieve high grades. Specific Names, Dates, Events, and Places all increase the level of your essays. Linking points is an important tool you need to acquire while doing GCSE history. Examiners want you to make a level of importance and a justified reason as to why you think something is more or less important. Counter arguments are common to be taught in class, but in my opinion are not properly implemented into the essays. I will make sure you use a counter argument in each paragraph to develop your points further and make them more convincing. It will also impress the examiner since it is closer to A-level than GCSE knowledge. Finally, I will teach students how to properly allocate time and complete questions in a hastily way, making sure they make full use of their time without running out of it.

My teaching style will be very relaxed and calming to not put pressure on the students. Lighthearted lessons are more valuable and memorable in my opinion. I will make sure to get to know the student well and i will accustom myself to how they want me to teach and specific areas they want to cover. I will finally prepare revision resources and tasks to use to make sure they are getting high quality education
