I teach piano and saxophone, both classical and jazz, as well as music theory and jazz/improvisation. I am happy to teach students of all ages and abilities, ranging from first-time beginners to grade 8 and upwards, and usually teach from my house in Bexley Village.

I usually teach individual lessons in 30, 45 or 60 minute slots, although I am happy to consider group lessons or other time slots if necessary.

I am happy to support students through grade exams (I generally lean towards ABRSM) if they are interested in taking them, but I recognise that this will not interest every student, and am equally very happy to coach students through whichever framework they prefer. As far as practical lessons go, I teach piano/keyboards and all saxophones - in terms of music theory or jazz and improvisation lessons, I'm happy to teach players of any instrument (although for jazz and improvisation lessons, I will assume at least a basic level of competence if you play an instrument other than the ones I teach!)

About Me:

I have been playing the piano for over twenty years now, and the saxophone for fifteen, starting classically but switching to jazz as a teenager. I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2017 with a BA in Music and Drama and, more importantly, valuable experience as a player, composer, bandleader and arranger. I have since have gone on to lead several bands, as well as playing on cruise ships and appearing in a variety of stage and TV productions.
