My lessons are structured, focused and designed to maximise exam performance. Having achieved strong results in both iGCSE (9/A**) and A-Level History (A), I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and where students most often lose marks. My approach centres on building clear, analytical essays and mastering source evaluation — the two key skills that separate top grades from average ones.
In our sessions, we break topics down into clear themes, identify the strongest arguments, and practise writing high-level paragraphs under timed conditions. I teach students how to structure responses using precise argument, evidence and evaluation, rather than simply describing events. We also work on improving exam timing, planning techniques and understanding mark schemes so that students consistently hit the highest bands.
Lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s specification and exam board. Whether you need help understanding content, improving essay structure, or preparing for upcoming exams, I adapt sessions to target your specific weaknesses and build confidence.
My aim is not just to help students memorise information, but to develop the analytical skills and exam discipline needed to perform under pressure. With clear guidance, structured practice and honest feedback, students leave each lesson knowing exactly how to improve — and how to turn that improvement into higher grades.
