Hi, I'm a firm believer that students benefit from taking the reigns with regards to how they want lessons to take form. Some students want to go through theory first in areas they don't feel confident with. In this situation I use the whiteboard on my touch screen laptop which I share via google meet, and we run through concepts using diagrams and writing model answers. All of these are converted to PDFs at the end of the session and then emailed to the student. Some students want to dive straight into questions and exam technique, in which case I use my bank of questions to create question packs and run and again via sharing my screen we do the style and rigor of questions that best suits the student. I then will email all questions and mark schemes at the end of the lesson. Most of my students like a combination of both and will decide on the day which they want for that particular time of the year or topic. I'm incredibly dynamic and flexible and am able to adapt my teaching accordingly. My extensive extensive experience with the exam board means I have a lot of insight into how best to approach questions. I have particular strength in my ability to prepare students for the essay on paper 3, and lead this training in my department as well as to all Year 12 and 13 students in my school. I will also mark essays once written to help my tutees progress with their approach to ensure they are scoring high marks prior to sitting their exams.
