Expert A-Level Biology Tutor – Helping Students Achieve their full potential

With over 18 years of experience teaching AQA A-level Biology at one of the UK’s most prestigious Grammar Schools, I offer expert, results-driven tutoring tailored to each student’s needs. Over the years, I have successfully tutored students from every Grammar School across Greater Manchester, supporting them to achieve outstanding results – with many going on to attain A and A* grades. As a senior associate examiner with over 12 years of experience in marking, I bring unique insights into what examiners are really looking for. I currently lead on three A-level Biology papers, giving my students a distinct advantage in exam preparation. I am also the co-author of 'Practice Makes Permanent', a widely-used A-level Biology workbook filled with exam-style questions designed to help students master the content and succeed under exam conditions. Within my department, I am the lead for training and delivering Year 13 support for the Paper 3 essay, an area where many schools lack expertise. As a result, my students consistently perform well above the national average on this challenging section. In private sessions, I use an interactive tablet to deliver engaging, visual lessons. All diagrams, notes, and annotations are saved as PDFs and emailed to students after each session. I also provide access to a comprehensive bank of past papers, used both in lessons and as targeted homework.
