My lessons are calm, structured and tailored to each individual student. As a Pharmacy student at a Russell Group university, I understand how challenging science subjects can feel, especially at GCSE level, and I focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorising information. I have experience supporting students through peer tutoring during sixth form, helping Year 12 students with their studies, as well as working with younger secondary students.

In my lessons, I begin by assessing what the student already knows and identifying any gaps in understanding. I then break topics down into clear, manageable steps using simple explanations, visual aids where possible, and memory techniques to help information stick. I regularly ask check-in questions to make sure the student is following and encourage them to explain ideas back to me to build confidence.

My approach is supportive and patient, particularly for students who feel anxious or frustrated with science. I believe mistakes are an important part of learning, so I create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. Lessons are flexible and adjusted to the student’s pace, with a strong focus on exam technique, key terminology, and applying knowledge to questions.

Overall, my aim is to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and make steady progress towards their academic goals.
