My lessons are fully tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and pace. I always begin by understanding what areas they find most challenging and what they hope to achieve, whether that’s improving exam grades, strengthening core understanding, or preparing for school entrance assessments.
Each lesson typically starts with a short recap of the previous topic or homework to consolidate knowledge and build continuity. We then move on to new material, which I explain using structured notes, clear examples, and visual aids such as diagrams and tables. I believe that understanding the “why” behind each concept is far more powerful than memorisation alone, so I encourage active questioning and reasoning throughout the lesson.
For sciences and mathematics, I focus on building systematic problem-solving skills — identifying patterns in questions, linking theory to exam techniques, and practising step-by-step reasoning until students feel confident working independently. For languages, lessons include a balance of grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and conversation. I also integrate cultural elements and exam-style speaking practice to make lessons more engaging and realistic.
I regularly use past papers and examiner reports to familiarise students with mark schemes and highlight common pitfalls. Every few weeks, I provide informal progress updates so students (and parents) can see where improvement is strongest and what we’ll focus on next.
With over five years of experience tutoring GCSE and pre-GCSE students, I’ve helped many achieve excellent results — from raising predicted grades to exceeding target scores. My academic background includes a BSc in Neuroscience from University College London, where I achieved 96% in Linear Algebra for Data Science, and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Economics and Finance at HEC Paris. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain complex material in a logical and approachable way.
Above all, my goal is to create lessons that are calm, structured, and confidence-building. I want students to leave each session not only understanding more, but feeling capable, motivated, and ready to achieve their best results.
