Adrienne Larmond

My name is Adrienne, and I am currently completing my MA in Culture, Politics and Society at King’s College London, following a 2.1 in History from Balliol College, University of Oxford. My academic background has shaped my interest in critical thinking, political analysis, and historical interpretation, all of which inform the way I teach and support students.

I have several years of tutoring and mentoring experience, working with learners from KS3 through A Level, as well as students preparing for Oxford admissions. Through roles at Zero Gravity and SoraTutoring, I have helped students strengthen their analytical writing, deepen their historical understanding, and build confidence in both exam and interview settings. My work often involves breaking down complex ideas, modelling strong essay technique, and helping students develop the independence and clarity needed to excel in humanities subjects.

Alongside tutoring, I have extensive experience working with young people in wellbeing and community roles. These positions have shaped my supportive, patient, and adaptable teaching style, allowing me to understand the broader challenges students face and respond to them with empathy. Whether a student is aiming for a top grade, preparing for the HAT, or simply hoping to feel more secure in their subject knowledge, I tailor each lesson to their goals, learning preferences, and pace.
