Native English speaker, who currently has an offer to study history at Durham achieving 80% in the 2026 AQA A Level History exam

My teaching style is friendly, engaging and centred around the individual student. I like to make lessons enjoyable while still having clear goals and making sure the student is improving. I use a mixture of games, activities, stories and online resources to keep lessons interesting, particularly when working with younger students. I also adapt my approach depending on the student’s age, ability and areas they need to work on, while encouraging them to be confident and not worry about making mistakes. I try to keep lessons active and interactive, giving students plenty of opportunities to practise their reading, writing, speaking and vocabulary rather than just listening.
