My name is Emily and I am a fourth year medical student with A* in A level and GCSE history tutoring GCSE history online.

I have had one year of experience already tutoring a history GCSE student for weekly hour lessons who achieved an A* this summer. I have had extensive experience perfecting the skills required for history essays achieving an A* in my A level and GCSE history and achieving 30/30 on my A level history coursework. My lessons can be tailored to whatever aspect of the course you are struggling with whether that be understanding the content or exam technique and essay writing. I always provide factsheets and notes at the end of the lesson with summary tables of the content and a guide on how to answer specific questions. I often spend the first half of lessons strengthening understanding of the content with key people and events and how they link together. Then usually we will plan out an essay together and look at exemplar essays. It can also be helpful to go through essays you write in your own time or timed in the sessions.
