Experienced Spanish tutor all ages

I am a UK-based qualified language teacher, native Italian speaker and bilingual English-Spanish professional with over 20 years of experience in language teaching, translation and interpreting.

I specialise in Spanish up to A-Level, Italian for all levels, and French up to GCSE. I hold QTS, a PGCE and a PhD in Translation Studies, and I have taught in secondary schools, colleges and university settings.

My lessons are structured, friendly and focused on real progress. I always adapt the lesson to the student’s level, goals and learning style. For exam students, I work on grammar, vocabulary, speaking confidence, reading comprehension, writing technique and exam-style practice. For adult learners, I focus on practical communication, pronunciation, fluency and confidence.

A typical lesson includes clear explanations, guided practice, speaking activities, correction, feedback and targeted homework when useful. I like students to feel supported, but also challenged in the right way.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging and precise. Because of my background in translation and interpreting, I pay close attention to accuracy, nuance and natural expression. I help students understand not only how the language works, but also how to use it confidently in real situations.

I offer online lessons and can support school students, university students and adult learners.
