Tutoring in A-level History, Politics and Psychology

Hi, I’m Orla — a first-year History student at the University of St Andrews, offering tutoring in History, Politics, and Psychology.

I achieved 3 A*s at A-level, and I know first-hand how overwhelming these subjects can feel — with the vast content of History and Psychology and the fast-moving nature of Politics. I’ve developed effective revision methods and exam strategies to tackle these issues head on and make them not only more manageable but also more enjoyable!

Because I’ve recently gone through the exam system myself, I am up to date with current exam specifications, exam techniques and mark schemes.

In sessions, I focus on:

Breaking down complex content into clear, memorable frameworks.

Developing strong essay plans that can be easily recalled in exams

Practicing with exam-style questions and giving detailed feedback.

Building confidence through discussion and step-by-step guidance.
