English Tutor (EAL Specialist) – KS3 & GCSE Support (Y7–Y11)

am an experienced English tutor with over 10 years of experience working in a secondary school as an EAL (English as an Additional Language) Coordinator. I support students from Year 7 to Year 11, including those with little or no English, helping them build confidence and improve their academic performance.

My approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into simple, clear steps so students can fully understand and engage with the subject. I specialise in supporting EAL learners by using structured scaffolding techniques and, where helpful, drawing on the student’s first language to support understanding.

I help students develop key skills in reading, writing, grammar, and exam techniques. My lessons are tailored, supportive, and designed to build confidence and independence.

I also offer support in Spanish, French, Italian, and Key Stage 3 Maths where needed.
