Advert description
I am a qualified primary teacher (QTS) with over 10 years’ experience teaching across EYFS to KS2. I have taught in all year groups and am currently completing my NPQ SENCo, with a particular interest in inclusive and personalised education.
I offer supportive, engaging one-to-one tuition for primary-aged children, including those who are home educated or who may benefit from additional support outside of school. I also have extensive experience working with children with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning differences.
My approach is calm, structured and child-centred. I take time to build positive relationships so that children feel safe, understood and confident to take risks in their learning. Sessions are tailored carefully to each child’s needs, interests and pace. I focus not only on academic progress in areas such as reading, writing and maths, but also on building confidence, resilience and independence.
For home-educated families, I can provide structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum or support a more flexible, interest-led approach, depending on your goals. For children attending school, I can offer targeted support to close gaps, reinforce learning, or prepare for SATs and transitions.
I am available for daytime tuition on Mondays and Tuesdays (9am–2pm), which works particularly well for home-educated learners or children on part-time timetables. Sessions can be delivered online or face-to-face depending on location.
I currently hold an Enhanced DBS and have been working continuously in a primary school since 2017.
My hourly rate is £45, reflecting my qualifications, experience and specialist SEN knowledge.
If you are looking for a nurturing, experienced teacher who will support your child both academically and emotionally, I would be very happy to discuss how I can help.
