Most of my professional life has involved being an educator taking what I have learned in theory and applying it practically, while tailored to an individual. student.

I have a wealth of experience teaching Physics both at GCSE and A Level. In addition I have also taught it as part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) course. In all my schools I have received plaudits for the delivery and interaction involving my students, including a previous OFSTED inspection where I was given the highest grades for my teaching that were available at that time.
During the pandemic where I was teaching exclusively online I garnered recognition from actual parents regarding the degree of patience and rapport I was able to build with some weaker students who struggled with confidence in a classroom but responded more favourably online.
I try to make my online delivery as interactive as possible, sometimes using prompts and encouraging students to use paper and pen to indicate with images or writing that they can understand the subject being covered.
Asking carefully graded questions that draw out the depth of understanding is very important and I believe that a student who can articulate orally back to myself correctly can illustrate a convincing grasp of the topic.
Of course questions relating to the specification being taught are explored and tactics regarding an effective approach should assist with exam preparation.
I would hope to build up a constructive relationship with a student and embark on a voyage of discovery covering a sequence of lessons that would culminate in greater belief, self-confidence and eventual success when it came to putting their new found skills and knowledge to the test.
