English as a foreign language teacher/tutor (online only) with 15 years' full time experience. Cheerful, relaxed and fun approach

I've been teaching English full-time for 15 years, almost entirely online. I use a variety of highly interactive, video-based methods; I don't use books much because I find them boring and outdated. My goal as a teacher is always to provoke your thoughts and creative abilities - and above all, to have fun. A happy student is a good student!

I hold Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the London School of Economics (LSE) and University of East Anglia (UEA) respectively. I also studied for some years at the University of Oxford, and hold a full Trinity College, London TESOL English teaching qualification. I have extensive experience successfully preparing hundreds of students for:

- B2 First Certificate (FCE)

- C2 Cambridge Proficiency (CPE)

- C1 Cambridge Advanced (CAE)

- International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

- International Baccalaureate (IB)

I've also helped guide many students' applications to study in the UK, whether at a university or a language institute. And I've helped them secure critically needed funding through, for example, Chevening scholarships. But that's not all I offer. I also teach conversation classes, where we can talk about anything you want and I'll correct and improve your pronunciation, fluency, and listening skills; and I teach Business English to many adults.

- A willingness to make mistakes (mistakes are good; no one who has ever learned anything important did so without making many mistakes along the way)

- A reliable internet connection

I will provide you with all the materials we need: videos, past exams, pictures, or articles.

My students always tell me how much fun I am to work with. Some teachers can be authoritarian and old-fashioned; I'm not like that in any way, and I promise that classes with me will be enjoyable and rewarding.

All ages from 13 upwards. All classes are online only. The first class is free.
