While I firmly believe that students always learn best when they are having fun and enjoying themselves, my approach is entirely professional. In our first class, I will assess your needs and learning style. The materials I use next will be based on that, and carefully prepared in advance.

My very many years of experience in this job mean I know what it takes for students to pass exams and improve, sometimes extremely quickly. But I also know that every student is different; every learner has different needs. I keep a completely open mind about what will work best and always listen to feedback, which is more than welcome from students and parents alike.

Whether in Politics, History or English as a Foreign Language, I will always make you think with the materials I use and themes I introduce. The aim is to facilitate your growth into someone with the confidence to express yourself and your opinions critically, thoughtfully and with confidence, whether in written or spoken terms.

Ultimately, I only get out of this job what I put into it. The same goes for you too - but I'm sure I'll bring out the best in you and help you reach your full potential. If I have one particular quality as a teacher, it's the empathy I have and connection I build with so many students. Nothing is more effective in building their self-belief and helping drive them forwards towards success.

I hugely enjoy my job. Having the chance to make a positive difference in people's lives and helping them fulfill their academic potential is enormously rewarding. I hope I can do the same for you or your child too.
